The goal of the study was the evaluation of the efficacy of Polchlor, Pollena JK and Linco-Spectin 100, used indoors as aerosols, to limit the morbodity of fattening herds to enzootic swine pneumonia. In three production cycles 2263 swine were studied. These products were sprayed three times weekly for two months. For the next two cycles they were used throughout the entire fattening period. Polchlor and Pollena JK were applied as 5% solutions, while Linco-Spectin 100 was diluted 1,5 gram per litre of water. The spraying time was four to five hours and the aerosol remained in the air for ten hours. The efficacy of the products used was evaluated on the basis of the clinical state, number of disease occurrences, number of deaths and post-mortem examinations of the respiratory tract. It can be said that the use of disinfectants and antibiotics in fattening piggeries improved the health of the swine, decreased losses and increased weight gains. An increased efficacy in the control of the occurence and decrease in the severity of the course of was observed after using Linco-Spectin 100 and Pollena JK. The best results obtained by aerosol disinfection carried out throughout the entire fattening period.
