Ammonites of the family Perisphinctidae from the Middle Oxfordian of Zawodzie (Częstochowa) have be en elaborated. Within the genus Lithacoceras, the new subgenus Subdiscosphinctes is distinguished. Included in this subgenus are somen of the species hitherto assigned to the subgenus Discosphinctes; such are: L.(S.) mindowe (Siemiradzki) and L.(S.) kreutzi (Siemiradzki). Are also described five new species: Perisphinctes (Perisphinctes) alatiformis n.sp., P.(P.) enayi n.sp., P.(P.) multicostatus n.sp., P.(P.) swidzinskii n.sp, and Lithacoceras (Subdiscosphinctes) borealen n.sp. The directions of their migration and their palaeobiogeographical relationshipsn have been elucidated.

The paper gives a description of Middle Jurassic ostracods from the Jaworznik, Choroń and Iwanowice Wielkie borings in Central Poland. They belong to the families: Polycopidae, Cytherellidae, Bairdiidae, Cyprididae and Cytheridae. Of 36 examined species and subspecies, 23 species and 4 subspecies are considered new ones. Within some species, the ontogenetic development and sexual dimorphism are analysed. Remarks are added on the geographical and stratigraphic distribution of the ostracods investigated.

Ostracods of the genus Glyptocythere Brand & Malz, found in the Kuiavian (= Vesulian) rocks penetrated by the boreholes Jaworznik, Iwanowice Wielkie and Choroń, are described. Two of the five species described - Glyptocythere posterocostata and G. medisulcata - are new. The intraspecific variability and stratigraphical distribution of particular species are discussed.

Seven sedimentary complexes and two cyclothems are differentiated in the "ore-bearing clays" from the Częstochowa area. The nature of deposits and microfauna evidence deposition in shallow-marine oxidizing environment and oscillatory changes of depth. Total number of foraminiferid individuals is correlated neither with granulation nor CaCO₃ content of deposits. A small variability and high dominance are most strongly marked in the case of foraminiferid assemblages from three parts of the geological section and emphasize the two sedimentary cycles distinguished. The reaction of foraminiferdis to environmental changes is delayed as the changes are first reflected by deposits and later by foraminiferid assemblages. The stratigraphic and ecological value of miliolids is confirmed.
