At present, the exposure of the population to electromagnetic radiation, including radio waves, exceeds many times the level of exposure caused by natural sources. Estimating potential threat to human health caused by exposure to radiation from electromagnetic waves and fields faces difficulties resulting from great complexity of relationships between the conditions of exposure and the amount of energy absorbed. That is why the decision on human exposure standards related to harmful electromagnetic fields, although based on exhaustive studies, are still, to a large extent, administrative and political.
