Stresses and strains analysis in elastic states of very slender column with square cross section compressed by balls. The problems of determining the stresses and strains in an axially compressed column with square cross section are presented in the paper. The problems are considered in the paper under conditions of the flat cross-sections and little slopes of the elastic line. The received theoretical results of the stresses and strains are presented for an example of the column with square cross section made of birch.

The differential equation of the elastic line and its slope and the critical stress of very slender square shaped plywood tube in an elastic states are considered in the paper under conditions of flat cross-sections planes and little slope of the elastic line. The received theoretical results of critical stress are related to slenderness ratio and to product of the radius and the wall thickness of the shaped plywood.

The received theoretical results of the critical stresses are related to the slenderness ratio and to the cross section area of the rods made of birch.
The stability analysis of axially compressed cylindrical shaped plywood with computer program "ALGOR" based on Finite Element Method is presented in the paper. The critical stresses of very slender plywood tubes in elastic states are considered. The received results from computer of critical stresses are compared to results of classical theories. All results are related to slenderness ratio and to product of the radius and the wall thickness of the cylindrical shaped plywood.
