Impact of geological-and-hydrological factors upon spatial differentiation of top soil at the border of south taiga and forest-steppe was studied. Dependence of eluvial-illuvial differentiation degree for zonal soils profile from local moistening conditions was established. Watering increase results in development of gley formation process in soils and consequently increase in humus, iron, calcium, aluminium mobility and medium acidation. Consequently, soils formation with eluvial-illuvial-differentiated profile takes place. Therefore, chernozems and podzols in this area can be located in contacting lithological-and-hydrological facies. Excessive moistening of these soils in agricultural use should be excluded because of possible development eluvial-illuvial processes, which result in degradation.
