The paper shows changes in seeds germination of Oe. pciradoxa Hudziok during vernalization. The investigations included seeds from which substances were and were not rinsed with water.'The rinsed seed germination during the 42 days long period of vernalization remained unchanged (only after 21 days vernalization the germination was significant higher), whereas in the latter germination decreased considerably from 3 to 14 days and after 21 days of vernalization. The hypothesis has been suggested about germination inhibitor present in seeds, which is removed from seeds during rinsing with water or vernalization. The studies carried out on the influence of the temperature range from 15 til) 35°C on seed germination after 21 days of vernalization. Showed that, also the temperature 15°C auctally retarded germination yet, it did not decrease the final seed germination. The temperature 35°C, in comparison with temperature range from 15 till 25°C, decreased significantly germination of the Oe. paradoxu Hudziok seeds stored one month after vernalization and non-rinsed seeds investigated immediately after vernalization.
