The present work gives the results of experiments on studying acoustic emission (AE) signals during water filtration in soils by means of a typical AE detector DEMA-10. The experiments were conducted in the conditions of a forced flaw and during natural capillary percolation of water.
Some materials under loading emit acoustic signals. Methods of analysis of such AE signals in soils are described in the paper. Each of methods gives us information which may be used in solving some agricultural problems as: monitoring of stress and deformation, prediction of failure, etc.
