The results obtained are given in the tables. The total number of examined bulls was 56579, including 30130 bulls belonging to socialized and 26499 to private farms. The analysis of the obtained data shows: (1) a steady decrease of the incidence of the disease for several years; (2) that bulls belonging to private farms are more often infected (598 postive results, i.e., 2.2% of examined bulls) than in socialized ones (218 and 0.7% respectively).
In the years 1954-1963, 11693 bulls were examined by cultural methods; there was a marked decrease in the incidence of Trichomonas foetus from 15.8% in 1954 to 0.5% in 1963, this being attributed to artificial insemination and killing off the infected animals.
