In this elaboration are presented proposals of strength assessment procedure of a joint of two equal-depth sandwich panels so connected in the same plane that the joint line is parallel to stiffeners of the panels. The joint is subjected to lateral and tension loads
The paper deals with selected subjects in the European EUREKA "Baltecologicalship"E!2772 project. Within the project, preliminary designs of four feeder (short shipping) shipshave been developed based on the market trend research, design knowledge and experimental investigations. The following tasks were to be performed for one of the ships: defi-ning optimum building conditions (timescale, production technologies, ecological aspect),selecting shipyards meeting the minimum production capacity requirement. For that purpose an index method was developed (based on the design and production indices). Thenan index analysis was performed of the production capacities of selected shipyards (and also different configurations of cooperation between them) and results were presented in a form of the Gantt diagrams.Final conclusions were drawn
The article presents a frame technology for a pusher tug, the construction of which was developed within the framework of the INCOWATRANS project. The technological division was made using a so-called mass criterion. The weight of the biggest sections does not exceed 12 tonnes, which allows the steel hull to be built using even as small a crane as the truck crane of approximate carrying capacity of 20 tonnes. Subsequent building stages are illustratively shown in the figures
This paper presents some aspects of technical preparation of production of inland waterways ship of combined structure contained partly: classical structures (bow and stern part) and sandwich panel structure. Due to prototype character of inland waterways ship structure it was decided to define a new subdivision of shipbuilding process into phases and create new classification principles if constructional and technological documentations
The information aiding of planning and operation of inland waterways fleet covers many items among which problems associated with analysis of existing waterways are especially important. Such analyses concern mainly their navigability features (from the point of view of elaboration of design assumptions for floating units) as well as planning land-waterborne transport links. Range of input data for the analyses is very broad hence they can be next used for managing the waterways. This paper presents a concept of forming the GIS data model for the purposes of INCOWATRANS project with taking into consideration the existing data and their possible usage by the administration of waterways and their other users
