In a group of 74 patients CFT and microprecipitation tests were performed with 220 and ring precipitation test with 197 serum samples. As shown by the results obtained CFT should be regarded as the most sensitive and specific test for the confirmation of trichinellosis in its later course. The ring precipitation test may be of diagnostic value as early as by the first week of the disease (positive results were achieved in 41%), where as the microprecipitation test yields the lowest number of positive results, its diagnostic value beginning only from the third week of the disease. The individual tests showed the highest number of positive results in patients with severe clinical course of the disease.
