At the investigation of the localization of intestinal trichinellae in the small intestine of mice during the whole stage of intestinal parasitization it has been stated that in the period of most active parasitization, i.e. between the 6th and 15th day after infection, the prevailing part of intestinal trichinellae (74,6%) is localized in the first half of the small intestine, whereas the smallest number is to be found in the last one.
The authors present a short report about an epidemy of trichinellosis caused at the beginning of the year 1962 in the district of Rožňava (ČSSR), when 18 persons fell clinically ill. Trichinellosis was caused by consumption of raw smoked sausages prepared from the meat of a wild boar.
