Celem rozważań jest zaprezentowanie kluczowych źródeł innowacyjności polskich tajemniczych mistrzów polskiej gospodarki, czyli przedsiębiorstw, które zgodnie z koncepcją H. Simona, mają niski poziom obecności w świadomości publicznej, a znajdują się w pierwszej trójce na rynku globalnym. Badania empiryczne, których fragment jest tu prezentowany, przeprowadzone zostały w 2010 roku w ramach projektu badawczego Ministerstwa Nauki i Szkolnictwa Wyższego nr N N115 008237 pt. Niematerialne wartości źródłem ukrytej przewagi konkurencyjnej tajemniczych mistrzów polskiej gospodarki realizowanego w Wydziale Nauk Ekonomicznych i Zarządzania Uniwersytetu Mikołaj Kopernika w Toruniu. Rezultaty tego projektu wskazują, iż kluczowym źródłem innowacyjności tej kategorii przedsiębiorstw są wynik badań własnych. Wydaje się, iż jest to istotna konkluzja dla wszystkich przedsiębiorców starających się budować swą innowacyjność, a tym samym konkurencyjność. Artykuł ma charakter badawczy.

Cutting a tubular element into thin rings is an operation often used in engineering processes. Total work of the cutting consists of that necessary for initial deflection of cut material and the cutting work itself. This paper presents mathematical models which describe deflection of cross-section of a single tubular element as well as a single layer of tubes under action of external forces ( acting and reacting ones). The deflection concerns end part of tube hence the cutting object model has been reduced to a thin ring. Results of calculation by using the developed models are presented for selected materials of tubular elements, which are commonly used for structures of the kind; moreover , they are prepared in a form of dimensionless diagrams, that makes it possible to use them for an arbitrary material

The aim of the study is to identify and evaluate dynamic capabilities in implementing the strategy of the State Forests National Forest Holding. The study reviews the literature related to the strategy and construct of dynamic capabilities, presents a synthetic approach to the strategy of the State Forests National Forest Holding for 2014−2030, followed by a discussion on the essence and role of dynamic capabilities in implementation strategy of the State Forests National Forest Holding. The conclusions of the study indicate the directions of improvement of the strategic management system of the State Forests National Forest Holding. The analysis enabled the conclusion that the actions taken by the forest district offices have a significant impact on the implementation of the strategic objectives of the State Forests National Forest Holding. According to the respondents, the forest districts have the greatest impact on achieving the goal of ensuring the sustainability of forests (forests as the most important element of the environment), and the smallest to build competences in the field of modern, well−managed and efficient organization. The respondents claimed that the significant importance of dynamic capabilities for State Forests National Forest Holding to achieve strategic objectives, with key capabilities in this area that can be attributed to the stage of looking for opportunities. At the same time, the results indicate that in the process of achieving strategic goals, human resources and skills as well as financial resources and skills are crucial, while the impact of structural resources and skills is the weakest.
