The effect of irrigation on the microclimatic differentiation of meadow complexes

In the study the authors discuss problems of method, incorporated in a team investigation, the objective of which was to determine the effect of municipal sewage irrigation on the productivity of meadow complexes. Microclimatic measurements were carried out in meadows in the valley of the Bystrzyca river during two vegetation seasons (June through October) - of 1973 and 1974. The measurements were aimed at determining the differentiation of particular meteorological elements in their diurnal course and during the vegetation season over two chosen areas: flooded - P₁ and not flooded - Р₂. Results of the study have shown that irrigation with municipal sewage had an indirect but significant effect on the thermal relations and the moisture relations of the environment, with a secondary and less extensive effect on the values and the diurnal variations of the other meteorological elements.
