It was proven that the use of intensive cultivation technology of spring brewing barley with foliar fertilization of microelements containing copper chelates or 100% water-soluble поп-chelate manganese allows to obtain the grain of better malting properties. There were not found negative quality effects of using microelement fertilization on barley plants. On the basis of one-year, single-way cultivation experiment it was stated that foliar fertilization with Сu and Mg can influence on the intensification of the grain yield in the range of 0,25-0,5 tones per hectare and can improve the extractivity of the pilzner type malts, Kolbach index and final attenuation limit of wort. The average improvement of malts quality according to Molina-Cano evaluation was 0,4 in 9-point scale.
