The daily diets of two social groups (manual workers and non-manual workers) differing in income (lowest and middle) reconstructed in laboratory showed low values of copper and zinc. The content of manganese was within the range of accepted values. The recommended dietary allowances of zinc was realized in only 60-68% and that of copper in about 30%. The content of these elements in the diets in 1991 and the degree of realization of the recommended intake were lower than in the diets in previous years.
