Lead and cadmium content in fruit, vegetable and fruit/vegetable juices, in soups and in dinner courses vegetable/meat were determined by atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS). The following average values wet weight were found: Pb from 0,100 to 0,230 mg/kg wet wt. in juices, from 0,119 to 0,142 mg/kg wet wt. in soups and from 0,104 to 0,166 mg/kg wet wt. in dinner courses; Cd - 0,007 to 0,019 mg/kg, 0,009 to 0,011 mg/kg and 0,008 to 0,015 mg/kg, respectively. Lead and cadmium content in some fruit, vegetable, fruit/vegetable and vegetable/meat products designed for babies and children were above the limits admissible in Poland.
