Grucza R. and Hänninen O.: Importance of dynamics of sweating in men during exercise. Acta Physiol. Pol. Influence of dynamics of sweating on rectal temperature increase was tested in 3 groups of men performing cycle exercise with intensity of 65, 90 and 120 W, respectively, in 22°C chamber temperature and 30% of relative air humidity. During exercise at 65 and 90 W the subjects wore suits while exercising with intensity of 120 W they wore only shorts. The dynamics of sweating was described by delay in onset of sweating and time constant of the reaction. Wearing caused significant increase in skin humidity and decreased evaporative rate of sweating. Sweat rate during steady state was related to the metabolic rate in naked (r = 0.89, p < 0.002) as well as in wearing subjects (r = 0.93, p < 0.01). Delay in onset of sweating was, in average, 5 min with a time constant of 7 min. Both factors showed a tendency to be shorter with increasing work intensity. Mean increase in rectal temperature was proportional to the intensity of exercise although the individual ATre correlated well with the dynamics of sweating in naked (r = 0.83, p < 0.01) and wearing subjects (r = 0.84, p < 0.01). Since ΔTre was smaller in subjects with shorter inertia time of sweating in response to beginning of exercise at the same intensity it is concluded that the dynamics of sweating can play an important role in limiting body temperature increase in working men.

Dynamics of wear of the cutting elements of tillers

The paper discusses theoretical studies of wear of the cutting elements of working bodies of tillers to develop their technological process of hardening, providing on the one hand increase their longevity, and with another - providing quality tillage. It shows the dependence of the wear rate on the length of the cutting edge cultivator paws. The interaction of the blade working organs of tillers of the soil with the environment was characterized. The diagram of the forces acting on the blade body and working movement direction in the soil was given. The analysis presents dependence between the linear wear lancet cultivators paw thickness and such factors as the way of friction, normal specific dynamic pressure of the soil, the hardness of the material clutches, friction area. The paper shows the effect of the angle between the polar axis and the radius of curvature of the cutting edge of the blade cultivator paws on the value of its wear. The regularities of changes in the intensity of wear feet are observed along the length of its cutting edge.
The aim of this study was to determine the dynamics of PCB content decline in three selected organs and tissues (gill filaments, muscle tissue, perintestinal adipose tissue, liver, and alimentary tract) of cultured carp, previously exposed to Clophen A50 via oral route, in the course of their 40-day stay in PCB-free environment. The samples were analysed using gas chromatography. The highest decrease in PCB concentration, related to wet weight was noted for the perintestinal adipose tissue and the alimentary tract. The lowest PCB decrease in lipids was recorded in the liver (l0.0 %) and the highest one-in the alimentary tract. In decrease related to the total weight of the organs and tissue studied was the highest for the gill filaments (61.6 %) while the values compared for perintestinal adipose tissues showed a 6.6 % increase.
