The article discusses (out of necessity, only partially) a book by Maciej Cesarski that is significant for Polish housing management and his 'Polish school of research'. The book is an analysis of the literal whole of academic reflections related to housing management with references to the significant phenomena and trends of social housing in Poland and in the world. The publication of M. Cesarski's book has an exceptional significance because of the more and more visible interruption of the Polish tradition of social housing management and of the tradition of academic research in this area.
