Demand for round wood, whose important recipient – apart from the industry sectors that process wood mechanically and chemically – is the power industry, has been discussed. The use of biomass received from wood, which is also technologically useful for the favoured Renewable Energy Sources (RES), is the main reason of utilizing mixed coal and biomass (mainly forest biomass) results in a gradual withdrawal from these practices and constitutes a positive change aimed at regulating the problem of accessibility of technologically useful wood.

The study will assess different strategies of purchasing ten-year pension bonds to be deposited in individual retirement accounts (IRA). Ten-year pension bonds are purchased and serviced by means of the IRA-Bonds. The study will prove that among different investment strategies, in January each year it was the most profitable to purchase a set of ten-year pension bonds issued between 2004-2014 and 2007-2017. Apart from bonds purchased in January, successive, monthly purchasing of a proportional part of the specified limit of securities was also worse than in bonds purchased in February, September and May. The study assessed the profitability of the ten-year pension bonds investment strategy.

Udział branży drzewnej w polskim produkcie krajowym brutto wynosi około 2%. Przemysł drzewny zatrudnia ponad 6% wszystkich pracujących ogółem w przemyśle. Leśnictwo i przemysł drzewny zajmują ważną pozycję w gospodarce krajów skandynawskich, w Niemczech, Austrii, Hiszpanii, a z nowych członków UE - w krajach bałtyckich, Słowacji, Czechach. Dla polskiego drzewnictwa bardzo ważny jest eksport, na który przeznaczane jest 60-80% produkcji wyrobów. Szczególnie duży jest w meblach. W pracy zwrócono szczególną uwagę na najbardziej istotne dla branży problemy zaopatrzenia w drewno okrągłe, na ceny surowca i relacje kursowe euro/złoty.

This study assessed the wealth of the Commune of Kostrzyn, which represents the average tax revenue per capita in Poland, and compared it with other countries and regions in the European Union. The commune was presented and compared with the county, voivodeship and country. Its economic situation was compared with that of the neighbouring communes.

Tax-free interest deposits as the source of efficient investment of discretionary income and current assets

The aim of the article is the analysis of the impact of so called tax-free interest deposits on the efficient investment of current assets of small companies and discretionary income of individuals. Capital income tax drastically lowered the attractiveness of savings accounts and tem deposits at the same time increasing operational costs especially affecting small companies. It also visibly diminished the size of individual discretionary income. Legally introduced method of round the tax base (also the interest from capital gains) and taxes themselves – create an opportunity for increasing income via more fair distribution of that income among tax office, banks and individuals as well as enterprises saving their money at deposits with daily calculated and added interest rates.

Groups of recipients of roundwood assuming division their entire population on 30, 12, 10 and 6 group - depending on the wood processing was isolated. For the 10 groups were also statistical divisions on decile group – by the number of customers and by the demand for roundwood.
