W artykule zaprezentowano wyniki badań dotyczące przemian w zakresie bezpieczeństwa w bankach. Uwzględniono aspekty zabezpieczeń o charakterze organizacyjnym i fizycznym oraz dotyczące urządzeń elek­tronicznych. Omówiono także wybrane wątki związane z wykorzystaniem metod biometrycznych w zarządzaniu bezpieczeństwem w bankach.

Due to decreasing of number the cooperative banks and increasing number of their branches and commis­sion agent offices in villages, assurance the safety of personnel and financial means will rise. The important element of security will be using in practice by the cooperative banks the experience of the commercial banks. In the nearest years the rising of safety in the banks will be achieved first of all by using more and more perfect electronic equipment, with more and more better educated security staff. In safety management in banking will increased the meaning of biometrical technology. Probably in the future w ill be more and more common using the biometrical credit cards. Especial attention, apart of using the fingerprints, geometry shape of face and hands, is paid to using especial features of eye’s iris. Taking to account decreasing of the banking service costs by the decreasing of employment and increasing of meaning the electronic banking, the safety operations have to be maximal improved and overtaken, so the electronic banking based on remote services could be safe and become in the future, according to the general trends, the main access canal to possibly the biggest number of banking products.
