W kolekcji narcyzów w Instytucie Sadownictwa i Kwiaciarstwa zgromadzono 140 genotypów. Osiem z czternastu pierwszych genotypów rozmnożonych in vitro, zaaklimatyzowanych w 2001 roku i uprawianych w owadoszczelnym tunelu, zakwitło w 2005 roku, pozostałe w 2006 roku. W roślinach zawirusowanych wykrywano potywirusy, a jedynie w odmianie ‘Magnet’ dodatkowo - NMV i NLV.

One hundred forty genotypes of narcissus (Narcissus L.) are collected at Research Institute of Pomology and Floriculture in Skierniewice, Poland. A big problem in field cultivation of narcissus is its susceptibility to virus infections, often symptomless, with mild symptoms and/or mix infections. The micropropagation of narcissus infected by viruses and genotypes with a low number of bulbs was carried out from the year 2000. Eight out of fourteen genotypes propagated in vitro, acclimated in 2001 and growing in an insect-proof tunnel, were in fuli blossom in 2005, the rest genotypes - in 2006. In 2009 the plants of all evaluated genotypes were tested randomly for the presence of potyviruses (using the indirect-ELISA group test) and Narcissus mosaic virus, Narcissus latent virus, Cucumber mosaic vims and Arabis mosaic virus (using the DAS-ELISA). The obtained results showed that 9 out of 14 genotypes are free from viruses tested. In the infected plants potyviruses were detected and only in cv. ‘Magnet’ an additional NMV and NLV were detected. Micropropagation of narcissus followed by growing in the insect-proof tunnel could be recommended as a successful way to protect and renown of accessions in the collection.
