The result of preliminary observations indicated, that almost 65% pelargonium plants of different cultivars from breeding plantation showed the symptoms of grey mould infestation. The investigations on 10 pelargonium cultivars, 5 from group peltatum (balconies) and 5 from group zonale (flower beds) exhibited, that there was large differentiation in infestation by Botrytis cinerea. Generally the majority of immunity from a grey mould characterized the cultivars from group peltatum. From four preparations tested under in vitro conditions, the best effective inhibitory effect on growth of fungus B. cinerea showed Biosept 33 SL, the lower - Biochikol 020 PC and Amistar 250 SC; the least effective was Bioczos BR.
