Do mikoryzacji klonów użyto dwóch szczepionek, Acer Ekto i Endorize Mix, natomiast do mikoryzacji róż trzech szczepionek, Endomix, Rosa Ekto i Endorize Mix. Rośliny kontrolne nie były mikoryzowane. Wszystkie użyte szczepionki zastosowano wg zaleceń producentów. Szczepionki mikoryzowe stosowano jednokrotnie w czasie sadzenia roślin.

The effects of mycorrhizal inoculation and Ekokompost application on growth and quality of Acer platanoides ‘Crimson Sentryʼ and Rosa ‘Folklore’ grown on the poor sandy-clay soil in urban landscape, were investigated. Two kinds of mycorrhizal inoculum (Acer Ekto and Endorize Mix) for maples and three sorts of its for roses (Endomix, Rosa Ekto, Endorize Mix) were used for inoculation. Control plants were not inoculated. Every inoculum was used once during planting, according to manufacturers’ recommendations. There were no positive effects of applying both, mycorrhizal inocula and Ekokompost, on growth and quality of roses since the plants had been grown two years earlier. Significant statistical differences were found in Acer platanoides ‘Crimson Sentry’ inoculated with Acer Ekto for trunk diameter at 0.3 m height; there was also longer branch growth than in trees without mycorrhizal treatment. However, there was no positive effect of Ekokompost on the maplesʼ growth. Improvement of fungal root colonization in both, maples and roses was obtained due to applying of Endorize Mix just after 5 months since the inoculation time. After two vegetative seasons the level of fungal roots colonization was equal, and there were not significant differences between non-inoculated and inoculated plants, regardless of applied mycorrhizal inoculum.
