Przedstawiono analizę zróżnicowania koncentracji produkcji trzody chlewnej w świecie, Europie i Polsce. Wskazano na wzrastające znaczenie procesów koncentracji i specjalizacji produkcji oraz na konsekwencje środowiskowe z nią związane.

This paper presents some aspects of pig production on the world. First of all the diversity of the pig production intensity and the pig farm structure in Poland and in the EU were discussed. The problems of local and global environment threats have also been underlined.
