A description of two cases of haemorrhagic diathesis in children caused by thrombocytopenia in the course of lambliosis. In children affected with various forms of haemorrhagic diatheses a strikingly high percentage constitute cases caused by quantitative and functional disturbances of thrombocytes. Acquired, secondary thrombocytopenia may develop in the course of infectious diseases, leucaemia, as the result of post-drug allergy or toxic injuries and as consequence of autoimmunization. Such parasites as ascaris, Trichuris trichiura can also cause thrombocytopenia. In the present cases no other cause could be established except the presence of Lamblia intestinalis. Therefore it seems plausible that solely they could be the cause of the injury of the coagulation system of the blood.
