The authors quoted a case of Ascaris lumbicoides presence in the urinary tract of a 53-year-old patient suffering from a disseminated neoplastic disease of the abdominal organs, jaundice and chronic pancreatitis. During his stay in the clinic the patient began to feel pains in the left lumbar region, his urine having a colour of meat rinsings. Since the 14th day of his hospitalization – complete retention of micturition for a period of 24 hours; the next day after a painful tenesmus lasting for 3 minutes he eliminated into a clean urinal a dead worm - Ascaris lumbicoides, together with some urine. The authors presume that the above worm has perforated the intestine wall and penetrated afterwards into the left renal pelvis or into the left ureter.
