Because bicycle and walking tourism is one of the most popular forms of tourist activity the issues related to the bicycle and foot penetration are presented in the thesis. The purpose of the thesis is to make a characteristics of physical activity parameters on tourist trails. The goal will be achieved by acquisition and presentation some information on recreational penetration in two aspects: route and physical activity parameters and graphic presentation. To measure the recreational penetration the technique of satellite navigation was used in the study (first: GPS-Enabled Sports Watch “Forerunner 405HR”, Garmin International Inc., the second: „Endomondo Sports Tracker”). As the result of the research some data on the general parameters were obtained: penetration time, distance, speed, frequency of contractions of the heart, energy expenditure and some detail data relating to the particular road sections (trail section). The parameter characteristics of recreational penetration can be used in two aspects: for individual recreants and for different types of tourist offers and creating of tourism products.
