Simazyna w dawce 5 i 10 kg ha⁻¹ aktywnego składnika powodowała istotne zwiększenie świeżej masy i nieistotny wzrost wysokości siewek Amaranthus retroflexus L. w porównaniu do roślin niekontrolowanych. Nie stwierdzono istotnych różnic masy 100 nasion i zawartości składników mineralnych (z wyjątkiem Mg) w roślinach traktowanych różnymi dawkami simazyny. Wstępne pomiary wykonano w 1988 roku. Wykazały one, że długość kwiatostanów zwiększyła się po zastosowaniu simazyny. szczególnie w dawce 10 kg ha⁻¹ aktywnego składnika.

Simazine at the doses of 5 and 10 kg ha⁻¹ a.i. caused a significant increase in the fresh matter and non significant increase in the height of Amaranthus retroflexus L. seedlings when compared with untreated plants. There were no significant differences in the weight of 100 seeds and in the content of mineral elements (except Mg) in plants treated with different doses of simazine. Preliminary measurements done in 1988 pointed out that the length of inflorescences increased after the use of simazine, especially in the dose of 10 kg ha⁻¹ a.i.
