Silne objawy nekrotycznej choroby bulw wykazały odmiany: Bard, Delikat, Denar, Ditta, Lord, Molli, Perkoz, Salto, Vineta, Wawrzyn i Zeus.

The resistance and sensibility of potato cultivars grown in Poland were assessed after the inoculation of plants with PVY, severe strain PVYNTN, which is able to cause potato tuber necrotic ringspot disease (PTNRD). From 90 evaluated cultivars, 21 appeared extremely resistant, 14 field resistant and 55 susceptible to the infection with PVYNTN. Severe symptoms of PTNRD were observed on tubers of cultivars: Bard, Delikat, Denar, Ditta, Lord, Molli, Perkoz, Salto, Vineta, Wawrzyn and Zeus. Milder symptoms were observed on Andromeda, Augusta, Bryza, Clarissa, Cykada, Drop, Nora, Orlik, Zebra and Żagiel. Moreover cvs. Hermes, Erntestolz and Courlan grown for chips processing are very sensitive and react to PVYNTN with severe necroses. Similarly cvs. Ditta, Monalisa, Nadine and Nicola grown in Europe for fresh-market are very sensitive to PTNRD.
