Przeprowadzono analityczne badania zawartości jodu w soli spożywczej jodowanej przy zastosowaniu metody wysokosprawnej chromatografii cieczowej (HPLC) z zastosowaniem detektora elektrochemicznego (ECD).

Poland represents moderate degree of severity of iodine deficiency. In 1997 a national program has been introduced of obligatory iodine prophylaxis including the iodination of household salt with 30± 10 mg Kl/kg salt or 39+13 mg KIO3/kg salt. In 2002 year in the National Food and Nutrition Institute in Warsaw there was realised the study determined iodine in iodized salt using by High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). Among 75 analysed kitchen salt samples 80% of salt samples met the polish recommendation in the range of iodine content.
