Alzheimer disease is one of the neurodegenerative diseases of unknown etiology. Among risk factors connecting with its development on Alzheimer disease are listed: oxidative stress, cardiovascular diseases, and the presence of the apolipoprotein E - ɛ-4 allele. Nutrition, especially selected nutritional components are consider to play the most important role in its etiology, because of the influence on the course of the disease and even maybe on decreasing the risk of its development or prevention. The presented essay is a kind of systematic review considering the connection of nutritional habits and possible influence on the presence of Alzheimer disease.
