Walory uzytkowe gazonowych odmian Lolium perenne

In this paper we showed results of 3-years experiments related to evaluation of the usage value of the chosen varieties of Lolium perenne sown in pure method and mixtures on sports lawn in Masurian Lakeland condition. Microfield experiment on 14th May, 1998, using split-plot method, with three repetitions, on antropogenic soil, formed from sandy loam, fertilized with peat (10 cm layer) was established. In the period of full utilization (1999-2001) sports lawns were intense fertilized, rolled with shaft, irrigated in dryness period and mowed about 30 times in vegetation period. Winterhardiness, compactness, colour, leaf perfection and general aspect in 9° scale were estimated. It turned out that in pure sowing method the most advantageous useful features of Lolium perenne varieties showed: 'Stadion' and 'Inka' . Among tested mixtures the best parameters marked out: commercial mixtures DSV "Libero" and Johnsons "Trawa sportowa" and mixtures no. 13 and 15, designed in thc Department of Grassland Sciences.
