Submontane thermophilous oak forest with service tree Sorbo torminalis Quercetum in the Złotoryjskie Foothills. Fragmenta Floristica et Geobotanica Polonica 10: 175–193. Kraków. PL ISSN 1640 629X. ABSTRACT: The submontane thermophilous oak phytocoenoses with service tree, Sorbo torminalis Quercetum Svoboda ex Blažková 1962 was studied in the Złotoryjskie Foothills (Western Sudety Mts). It is a novel forest community for Polish vegetation. Except from original relevés, the paper presents the detailed description of the community habitat, its floristical structure, and the results of comparative analysis of relevés presenting this association from Europe. The new subassociation is identified within the investigated community: Sorbo torminalis Quercetum cephalantheretosum longifoliae subass. nova. Original syntaxonomical diagnosis is presented for this syntaxon.
