In the years 1997-2003 the productivity and production of bitter hops increased with regard to the requirement of brewery industry for the alpha-acids. The growing area and production of aromatic hops decreased in this time. USA, Germany and China are predominating in the alpha-acids production in the world supplying 80% of this component production on the market.
