W pracy podjęto próbę oceny całkowitej zawartości selem, w surowicy krwi u kobiet z schorzeniami tarczycy. Zawartość selenu oznaczano metodą atomowej spektroskopii absorpcyjnej techniką generowania wodorków (HG-ASA)

The aim of this study was to estimate the concentration of total selenium in serum women with thyroid gland disease. Selenium was determined by atomic absorption spectrometry using the hydride generation technique (HG-AAS). Selenium was determined in 30 patients with thyroid gland disease and in 12 healthy controls. Selenium concentration of serum was variously in patients than in control group and patients with different thyroid gland disease. The average concentration of selenium in control group was 0.0694 (µg/ml, in goiter group 0.0529 µg/ml, in hyperactivity group 0.0441 µg/ml, in hypofunction group 0.0520 µg/ml.g/ml.
