The problem of personnel training for technical and worker profession valid since 1982 as well as classification of professions and specialities, criteria of new classification being worked at present, gaps in rules, are presented. In view of present transformations in Poland, the necessity of putting in order and determination of duties in relation to the professional training for the food industry needs is stressed.
