The studies on the present state of the bat fauna in the Roztocze (SE Poland) were carried out for several years (1987-1990). A total of 14 species were recorded. Myotis dasycneme is new to the fauna of the Roztocze. Myotis bechsteini and Eptesicus nilssoni were not recorded in the present investigation, although they had been found in this region dozens years ago. A comparison of qualitative data from several biotopes was made.
