Samples of dead bees collected in June from 2 apiaries in Warsaw were investigated for viruses and Nosema apis. Seven viruses were identified. The prevalence of filamentous virus (FV), black queen cell virus (BQCV) and bee virus Y (BYV) were associated with a high level of Nosema apis invasion. The prevalence of deformed wing virus (DWV) was preceded by a heavy invasion of Varroa ja- cobsoni during the previous beekeeping season. Single cases of acute paralysis virus (APV), chronic paralysis virus (CPV) and sacbrood virus (Samples of dead bees collected in June from 2 apiaries in Warsaw were investigated for viruses and Nosema apis.
