Hylis procerulus (Mannerheim) has been found in Puszcza Białowieska primeval forest a single specimen was taken in Białowieża National Park on 4th July, 1989. This is the only confirmed record of H. procerulus from Poland so far. Some determination problemes and distribution of the genus Hylis Gozis in Europe are discussed.
