Metodą AAS oznaczono zawartość chromu, cynku, miedzi, niklu, kadmu i ołowiu w glebie z okolic Stalowej Woli. Stwierdzono, że ilości te były niewielkie lub umiarkowane w świetle danych literaturowych, ale większe w porównaniu z ilościami oznaczonymi w glebie pochodzącej z niezanieczyszczonych terenów kontrolnych.

The content of chromium, zinc, copper, nickel, cadmium and lead was determined by AAS and ion chromatography in 60 samples of the soil collected from the Stalowa Wola area affected by dust and smoke emissions. At the same time, these elements were determined in the reference samples of soil collected from the areas remote from industrial centres. In all soil samples collected from the areas affected by the industrial emissions, the content of the metals was higher than that in the reference samples. Mean chromium content of the soil from Stalowa Wola was 26.40 mg/kg (reference 15.12 mg/kg). The corresponding values for the other metals were: zinc 135.5 mg/kg (reference 67.34 mg/kg), copper 25.14 mg/kg (reference 15.84 mg/kg), nickel 17.20 mg/kg (reference 9.72 mg/kg), cadmium 0.53 mg/kg (reference 0.28 mg/kg), lead 39.10 mg/kg (reference 19.70 mg/kg).
