Nutrient requirements of pigs for proteins and energy may be balanced by an appropriate content of a basal ration based on farm produced fodders: cereals, potatos, sugar beets and fodder sugar beets, CCM, seeds of leguminous, green legumes and fodders of animal and plant origin such as seed meal, skimmed milk, butter milk, whey, animal meals. Feed ration composed of these fodders should, however, be enriched with mineral-vitamin-amino acid additives (for example Polfamix, Ekomiks, MM compound feed). Some aspects of preservation and qualifying of farm produced fodders for pigs are discussed and examples of feed rations for sows, piglets, weaners and fatteners based on farm produced fodders are presented.
