In 2006 and 2008, a total of 108 blueberry plants were tested for the presence of blueberry scorch virus (BlScV), blueberry shock virus (BlShV), blueberry leaf mottle virus (BlMoV), peach rosette mosaic virus (PRMV), blueberry shoestring virus (BSSV), and tobacco ringspot virus (TRSV). The plants for the investigations were selected from commercial plantations, non-professional plantings, and the university’s experimental collection according to the symptoms observed on the flowers and leaves during the growing season. The ELISA assays and biological tests performed on Cucumis sativus ‘Monastyrski‘, Phaseolus vulgaris ‘Mamut’, Nicotiana tabacum ‘Samsun’, Chenopodium quinoa, Chenopodium amaranticolor, and Nicotiana benthamiana did not confirm the presence of the viruses in any of the tested plant.
