During 2004-2005 the analytical studies were conducted on the species composition of galls occurring on the leaves of Fagus sylvatica L. in three localities: the Wolski Forest - near an urban agglomeration of Kraków, the Ojców National Park and the Andrychów Forest District (the Katowice Forest Region). A total of 21,333 galls, including 10,590 in 2004, were found. The galls represented 5 maker - species including 2 subspecies: Aceria nervisequa faginea (Nalepa), A. nervisequa nervisequa (Canestrini), A. stenaspis plicans (Nalepa), A. stenaspis stenaspis (Nalepa), Contarinia fagi Rübsaamen, Hartigiola annulipes (Hartig) and Mikiola fagi (Hartig). The species composition of galls was similar in all three localities. Aceria nervisequa faginea was the most abundant species. The index of occurrence frequency and the Agrell's index of species co-occurrence have been calculated.
