Reactions of the respiratory and circulatory systems in rabbits intoxicated acutely with mercury

The experiments were performed on 7 rabbits intoxicated with HgCl₂ in a dose of 0.3 g by intramuscular injection of a 5 per cent water solution of this compound. The arterial blood pressure and amplitude of respiration and its rhythm were recorded on a kymograph. The blood flow in carotid artery was determined by photohaemotachometer. Changes in the respiratory and circulatory systems were presented under the form of a photohaemotachograph, and mean values of examined indices were shown in a graph.
