Do inicjacji kultury wykorzystano apikalne merystemy. Eksplantaty po sterylizacji zostały wyłożone na pożywkę B5 oraz z dodatkiem regulatorów wzrostu (mg·dm-3): B5 + 1,5 BA, B5 + 1,0 NAA, B5 + 3,0 IBA, B5 + 1,0 NAA. B5 + 1,5 BA + 3,0 IBA.

The studies aimed at determining the conditions for micropropagation of hybrid (L. termis x L. mutabilis Mut-628) and its parents in in vitro meristem culture. The apical meristems were used for tissue culture initiation. Sterilized explants were placed on the medium B5 supplemented by growth regulators (mg·dm-3): B5 + 1.5 BA, B5 + 1.0 NAA, B5 + 3.0 IBA, B5 + 1.0 NAA, B5 + 1.5 BA + 3.0 IBA. The studied parental forms and their hybrid showed different reaction of organogenesis to changed tissue culture conditions. In long-term culture of meristems of the L. termis explants auxiliary and adventitious shoots and flowers development were observed on the B5. Complete morphogenesis (roots, lateral and adventitious shoots development) was observed on the medium containing auxin (B5 + 3.0 IBA). Plant regeneration, including rooting, was also observed of L. mutabilis Mut-628 on media B5, B5 + 1.5 BA and B5 + 3.0 IBA. A strong callus was formed in this species. The hybrid showed morphological affinities to the maternal parent, but some significant differences were also observed. The best development of shoots was observed on the medium with growth regulators (B5 + 1.5 BA + 3.0 IBA), but no roots formation was noted. On the B5 the hybrid yielded flowers and so did the maternal parent. The hybrid explants produced callus but less abundantly than the male parent did.
