IWN-11 is a new liquid acetylsalicylic acid formulation that was developed by the Institute of Natural Fibres and Medicinal Plants Poznań and Poznań University of Life Sciences for enhancing resistance of crops to biotic and abiotic stresses. Field trials with sugar beet were conducted between 2008 and 2010 on black soil and pseudopodsolic soil. Post emergence application of IWN-11 significantly increased sugar beet root yield but only on pseudopodsolic soil. The best results were obtained when IWN-11 was applied at 2.0 l/ha and at BBCH 18 of sugar beet growth stage.
