Flagyl was used in 110 women with acute and chronic trichomonadosis of the vagina in women; the treatment also included the sexual partners. The drug was administered by oral route in the dosis of 0.25 2 X daily and intravaginally 1 X 0.5 for 1.0 days. The examination carried out 10 days after the treatment showed the disappearance of T. vaginalis in 100%. The follow-up control 1/2 year later revealed positive results in 88.l%. Flagyl proved to be the most efficient drug among the hitherto applied antitrichomonal compounds.
