The aim of the study was to estimate the microbiological air contamination inside the cave. The number of mesophillic bacteria, alcalophillic bacteria, actinomycetes, staphylococci, fungi (yeasts and moulds) and coli group bacteria was examined. Moreover the temperature and moisture was checked outside and inside the cave: in three sites at different distances from entrance. The dominant group of microorganisms were mesophillic bacteria and fungi the least actinomycetes. Obtained results suggest decrease of microorganisms number according to the distance from cave entrance. The number of visitors influence the amount of staphylococci and coli group bacteria. Changes of atmospheric temperature and air moisture only insensibly effect the temperature and moisture inside the cave.
