The national Conference „Effectiveness of Economic Activity in Agribusiness” took place at Warsaw Agricultural University on 22nd May 1998. It was organised by Faculty of Agricultural Economics WAU. The Conference was dedicated to memory of Professor Tadeusz Rychlik - merited researcher and academic teacher, former director of the Institute of Agricultural Economics and Agrarian Policy WAU. Discussions and presentations focused on four general topics: Theoretical framework of agribusiness; Effectiveness of economic activity in Polish agricultural sector; Infrastructure of agricultural markets; Financial problems faced agribusiness activity. Debates were based on papers published, prior to the Conference, in Scientific Fascicles of SGGW, Series Economics and Organisation of Agribusiness (No 34 and 35). The Conference provided a forum for change of the views, and addressed the key problems of further development of research on methodological, applied and legislative aspects in agribusiness sector.
