The aim of this research was to assess body composition of young people at the aged of 17–19, who are practicing ice hockey and swimming by bioelectrical impedance method. The study involved 27 people who are practicing ice hockey, 21 swimmers, and 19 physically inactive people. Rated primary somatic parameters: height [cm], weight [kg], BMI [kg/ m2], fat-free mass FFM [kg], FAT [kg,%], total body water TBW [kg%] Rohrer’s index. To assess the significance of differences in the tested parameters between the groups was used the non-parametric Kruskal – Wallis test. In the study there were statistically significant differences in specific parameters between tested groups.
